Indonesian tech giant Goto Group is embroiled in a legal battle with Bruce McRae Haldane, its former Chief Product Officer at Gojek. The lawsuit, filed in South Jakarta District Court, seeks Rp 43.2 billion (≈$2.59M) in damages—a sum representing just 0.24% of Goto’s Rp 18 trillion cash reserves.

The dispute centers on contested termination terms rather than operational misconduct. Analysts note the claim poses negligible liquidity risk. "We’ll follow due process," a Goto spokesperson stated, framing it as an isolated labor matter amid rising Indonesian employment disputes.
